Welcome to RedsOctober.com (formerly Red Letter Daze), the home of Cincinnati Reds fans who want a nice, casual, comfortable place to talk baseball.
Some of us started hanging out several years ago on C. Trent Rosecrans' Cincinnati Post Reds blog and, more recently, have been found on ClearChannel's theLotD.com, Cincinnati.com and CNati.com. There are many people who will already be familiar with the tone, temperament and camaraderie of this group.
But for those who are new and wish to participate, view our site as a group of friends sitting together in a living room (or possibly the corner bar), watching the game and enjoying each other's company. The Reds are always the centerpiece--we'll have regular game threads and talk about the typical news, daily events and stats analysis that interest us all. But here's what you should also expect at any given time:
* The conversation will make a seismic shift at the mention of pork products, namely barbecue;
* Beer and music are popular obsessions;
* Movie quotations are a common theme;
* Random and funny photos often capture a game moment;
* And along the way, the focus will still remain the Reds.
